  • What is zinc dithiocarbamate accelerator?
  • It has the best scorch resistance and processing safety of the whole range of zinc dithiocarbamate accelerators. It gives high modulus and transparency. It is also an activator for accelerators such as thiazoles, thiurams and sulfenamides. It gives fast curing, has a low critical temperature and a medium curing range up to 121°C.
  • What vulcanizing agent is used in rubber?
  • Elemental sulfur is the predominant vulcanizing agent for general-purpose rubbers. It is used in combination with one or more accelerators and an activator system comprising zinc oxide and a fatty acid (normally stearic acid). The most popular accelerators are delayed-action sulfenamides, thiazoles, thiuram sulfides, dithocarbamates and guanidines.
  • What is vulkacit® zbec?
  • The use of Vulkacit® ZBEC reduces the formation of nitrosa-mines to such an extent that they become negligible in the manufacture of products such as foam coatings for carpet coverings (GuT carpet regulations for Europe), car seats made of rubberized hair and all kinds of gloves.
  • What is Mixland+ zbec used for?
  • In association with HTS or VULTAC®, Mixland+® ZBEC improves antireversant effect. It has a high solubility in rubbers. Carpet backings, foam rubber, rubber threads, rubberised textiles, bathing caps, bath mats, footwear, cable coverings and wire insulation, etc...
  • Does Lanxess offer vulkacit® zbec?
  • LANXESS offers the product Vulkacit® ZBEC which, ac-cording to current knowledge, does not form any danger-ous nitrosamines (please see for example German Technical Regulations on Hazardous Substances, TRGS 552).
  • What is vulcanized rubber?
  • Fully oxidized natural rubber vulcanizates are normally hard, stiff and thermoplastic. The increase in hardness is al-ways combined with an increase in modulus and a loss in elongation. A combination of Vulkanox® SKF and Vulkanox® MB2 has a synergistic effect on the protection of latex articles.
